Good food & BYOB

It’s quite rare to come across true BYOB restaurants in Manhattan, but this one is a gem. Though it’s small with just a few tables and a bathroom through the kitchen, the good service and delectable food more than compensate for its modest size. The selection is surprisingly broad for such a cozy place, and I can’t recommend the squid ink pasta enough.

Great little BYOB spot - friendly service

It’s a wonderful, small Italian family restaurant with a streetside patio covered for outdoor dining. The restaurant had a calm and pleasant ambiance. It wasn’t crowded, and the owner served as our waiter, providing us with an old-world, friendly experience. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, especially the various starters and perfectly cooked pasta dishes with generous portions. We topped off our meal with coffee and some of the best cannoli we’ve ever had. Highly recommended for a delicious Italian meal in the East Village. While they don’t serve alcohol, you can bring your own wine with a $5 corkage fee. If you’re in the mood for cocktails, enjoy them at the nearby bars before or after your visit.

Came here with family on last day of weeklong trip to NY, and it was lovely

It’s a wonderful, small Italian family restaurant. We sat outside on the covered streetside patio – which was, like the street, quiet and pleasant. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, and the owner was our waiter. He was very old world – very friendly, but let us take our time over everything. Everyone’s food was outstanding, various starters and pasta dishes cooked perfectly and with goldilocks proportions. Had coffee after and then some of the nicest cannoli I have ever had (and I’ve had many). Highly recommended if you’re looking for a nice Italian meal (or any kind of meal) in the East Village. Wasn’t an issue for us, but there’s no booze there. You can bring your own wine (which you can get nearby) with a $5 corkage. If you want cocktails have them before (and/or after) at the many nearby bars, as they don’t allow hard liquor.

We found a lovely little Italian restaurant with a varied menu and a charming sidewalk dining area. The spinach ravioli with its exquisite cream sauce was the best I’ve ever tasted in my nearly 70 years!
